The new MNiSW journal list 2026 - what's announced

Status: not yet published (forecast). A new MNiSW scored-journal list has been announced but is not yet published. Below is only the announced process and changes - no new point values or journal entries until the list is published.

What applies now: the 5 January 2024 list remains binding until the new one is published. Check current points in the journal search.

Announced timeline

First half of 2026 - the regulation defining how the list is built was expected.
After the summer holidays (autumn 2026) - the list itself is expected to be published.

Announced changes (forecast)

A new intermediate 140-point tier for monograph publishers.
Lower points for IT/computer-science conferences (top tier 100, not 200).
Point values voted on by the scientific committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN).
A two-part list, with roughly 90% set automatically from Scopus / Web of Science data.
